Whether you have dealt with Addiction problems, mental health and/or depression, then this retreat is really going to support your Journey. In my own experience of depression, mental health and acute addictions I feel fortunate to be where I am now, coming from a place of experience and now qualified in this area I have a formula that I can pass on to others.
One of the many bonuses in this journey of living in your truth is the people you meet along the way. On the retreat there will be the support of myself, a recovery coach and a qualified Meditation & Yoga teacher. Both of which have had their own experiences of addiction, mental health and depression. Please see their introductions below.
An introduction from John (founder of Treatment Link) -
As a Recovery Coach I encourage and motivate my clients to become active in their recovery and invite them to consider ways to look after their whole selves Mind Body and Spirit.
Addiction is very much about the brain and the mind. But the body also plays a big part in changing how we think and feel. Engaging in exercise, practicing yoga or dance, and meditation has real benefits in terms of altering mood and energy levels. This has been known for a long time and yet seems to be missing from most peoples lives.
In considering this I began to look into bringing what I practice into my work with others. I piloted my MBS workshop in a treatment facility in Bedfordshire where it has been very successful and popular with the clients, so much so that I was asked to deliver the same workshop in London.
Motivating clients to reach higher, to step out of their comfort zone is what I am all about and has allowed me the privilege of witnessing some real light bulb moments, especially to those who have heard it all before and until then have been skeptically unmotivated.
To work with someone as they enter their moment of self discovery is a real privilege and motivates me to continue the work I do.
An introduction from Bee - Estella and I met in India and connected so I am truly blessed to be working along side her and being a part of the "Awakening Your Truth Retreat" There is a certain energy in Rishikesh that feels so gentle and healing. I will be delighted to meet you all and be a part of your experience at the retreat. You can read more about Bee's Yoga Journey and experience HERE
Our time in India:
The Sattva Retreat is located on a sacred pilgrimage route that the yogis and the rishis used in ancient times on their journey to the higher Himalayas. The village around the Sattva is called Mohan Shakti named after adi yogi or the first master of yoga, Shiva himself. There is an ancient temple in the village that pilgrims used to stop and pay their respect at on their way to the high Himalayas. One can still visit and do ceremony at the temple.
The Sattva land itself is sacred. As you step on the land you feel the powerful yogic vibrations, which are very immanent at the Sattva. Surrounded by the Shiva Lake mountain range (dreadlocks of Shiva) of the lower Himalayas, with 2 valleys meeting at the point where the Sattva is located, the energy is suitable for healing yoga and meditation. All of the property is facing east, therefore the first rays of the rising sun greet you over the Hymalaya’s and the fresh water Himalayan stream acts as a nurturing reminder of the grace or love that is ever present in life. We invite you to explore these sacred vibrations and through them your own sacred nature.

“Bali was my first overseas yoga retreat, I had done a 3 day juice cleanse with yoga incorporated with Estella before and I regularly practiced yoga at home but this was a whole new experience for me. The whole retreat was amazing, the accommodation, mandala village, was the perfect place to sleep and recharge with 2 yoga studio’s only a few steps from my room. Estella’s yoga really worked for me and as a group we would work on karma yoga which opened our hearts to the good we can do. I came away feeling spiritually awakened and wouldn’t hesitate to book another retreat with Estella.” Nichola
To travel to India you will need to apply for a short stay e-visa. Its pretty straight forward and application doesn't take long, suggestion would be to apply after your flights are booked and within 1 month of travelling. Cost of Visa is around £77 and A trust worthy company and one I have used before are India Visa Online.
Suggested travel injections for India are Hepatitis A and Tythoid, both are usually free available through your local NHS.
